<abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <bold>Shedding light on grey matter:</bold> Fluorescent trimethine cyanines were evaluated as imaging probes for neurofibrillary tangles in post‐mortem brain sections of Alzheimer's disease patients.
