<abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <bold>Down to the wire:</bold> Three‐dimensional interconnected Si‐based nanowires are produced through the combination of thermal decomposition of SiO and a metal‐catalyzed nanowire growth process.
