<abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p>A simple route for immobilizing linear DNA double‐strands is described on <ext-link ext-link-type="doi" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">p. 338</ext-link> by B. Chénais, J.‐F. Pilard et al. Surface modification by electrografting of an aryldiazonium salt yields a roughness of 0.2 nm.
