- <abstract abstract-type="main" xml:lang="en"> <title>Abstract</title> <p>Five new transition metal complexes [Cu(HL)<sub>2</sub>(H<sub>2</sub>O)<sub>2</sub>] (<bold>1</bold>), [Cu(HL)<sub>2</sub>(phen)] (<bold>2</bold>), [Cu(HL)<sub>2</sub>(H<sub>2</sub>O)]<sub>2</sub>(4, 4′‐bipy) (<bold>3</bold>), [Zn(HL)<sub>2</sub>(H<sub>2</sub>O)<sub>2</sub>]·(4, 4′‐bipy) (<bold>4</bold>), [Ag(HL)(4, 4′‐bipy)]<sub><italic>n</italic></sub> (<bold>5</bold>), (H<sub>2</sub>L=5‐chloro‐1‐phenyl‐1<italic>H</italic>‐pyrazole‐3, 4‐dicarboxylic acid, phen=1, 10‐phenanthroline; 4, 4′‐bipy=4, 4′‐bipyridine) have been synthesized and characterized. Complexes <bold>1</bold>, <bold>2</bold> and<bold> 4</bold> exhibit monomeric structures, <bold>3</bold> shows a dinuclear structure, <bold>5</bold> displays 1D chain structure, and all extend to 3D supramolecular network via rich hydrogen bonds. Complexes <bold>1</bold>, <bold>2</bold>, <bold>3</bold>, <bold>5</bold> comprise single helical chains, while complex <bold>4 </bold>generates quadruple‐stranded helical chains.
