<abstract abstract-type="main" xml:lang="en"> <title>Abstract</title> <p>Michael addition of furanones to α, β‐unsaturated ketones in the presence of a cinchona‐based chiral catalyst provides the title products (III) with high enantioselectivity and low to moderate diastereoselectivity.</p> </abstract>
