<abstract abstract-type="main" xml:lang="en"> <title>Abstract</title> <p>The title fluorescent compound (III) shows high selectivity to Cu<sup>2+</sup> ("ON‐OFF" behavior) and the generated (III)‐Cu<sup>2+</sup> complex exhibits excellent selectivity to sulfide ions ("OFF‐ON" behavior).</p> </abstract>
