<abstract abstract-type="main" xml:lang="en"> <title>Abstract</title> <p>The use of K<sub>2</sub>S<sub>2</sub>O<sub>8</sub> in combination with Pd(OAc)<sub>2</sub> as catalyst in a solvent mixture of AcOH and acetonitrile gives efficient access to trisubstituted alkenes.</p> </abstract>
