Abstract

<abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p>Marco Rolandi, Fiorenzo G. Omenetto, and co‐workers describe a transparent nanofiber biocomposite, self‐assembled from a solution of squid pen chitin and silk fibroin from <italic>Bombyx mori</italic> cocoon, <ext-link ext-link-type="doi" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">on page 4482</ext-link>. The microstructure and the mechanical properties are easily tuned by the ratio of the components.
