- <abstract abstract-type="main" xml:lang="en"> <title>Abstract</title> <p>The complex oxides Bi<sub>1‐x</sub>Co<sub>x</sub> [Bi<sub>12</sub>O<sub>14</sub>] Mo<sub>5</sub>O<sub>20</sub><sub>.+‐.</sub><sub>δ</sub> (x = 0.1—1) and Bi[Bi<sub>12</sub>O<sub>14</sub>] Mo<sub>5‐y</sub>Co<sub>y</sub>O<sub>20</sub><sub>.+‐.</sub><sub>δ </sub> (y = 0.2, 0.4) are synthesized by solid state reactions of stoichiometric mixtures of Bi<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub>, MoO<sub>3</sub>, and Co<sub>3</sub>O<sub>4</sub> (alumina crucible, 673—1123 K).</p> </abstract>
