<abstract abstract-type="main" xml:lang="en"> <title>Abstract</title> <p>Treatment of formylhydrazone derivatives (I) with carbohydrazide (II) gives 4‐aminotriazolone derivatives (III), whilst reaction of formylhydrazones (I) with hydrazides gives 4‐acylaminotriazole (V) or oxadiazole derivatives (VII) depending on the size of the substituents on the hydrazide as well as hydrazone species.</p> </abstract>
