<abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p>A highly efficient nanorod photoanode for solar‐driven photoelectrochemical (PEC) water splitting is reported by Kazunari Domen and co‐workers <ext-link ext-link-type="doi" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">on page 125</ext-link>. The cover image illustrates vertically aligned semiconductor nanorods grown in situ on a metal substrate.
