- <abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en" id="adma201302908-abs-0001"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <bold>A novel hybrid Ni<sub>h</sub>‐CdSe/CdS core/shell quantum dot</bold> is a simple and exceptional artificial photocatalyst for H<sub>2</sub> production from 2‐propanol aqueous solution. Studies on the nature of the artificial photocatalyst and mechanism for H<sub>2</sub> production demonstrate that the synthetic strategy is general and the artificial photocatalyst holds promise for light capture, electron transfer, and catalysis at the surface of the Ni<sub>h</sub>‐CdSe/CdS core/shell quantum dots, leading to a self‐healing system for H<sub>2</sub> evolution in harmony. <boxed-text content-type="graphic" position="anchor" orientation="portrait"><graphic position="anchor" mimetype="image" xlink:href="ark:/27927/pgg3z7f0pgf" orientation="portrait" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" /></boxed-text></p> </abstract>
