<abstract abstract-type="main" xml:lang="en"> <title>Abstract</title> <p>Novel tetrafunctional Pd(II) complexes, prepared from amino acids, are shown to be highly efficient catalysts for the Heck reaction of deactivated aryl bromides and iodides with high turnover numbers.</p> </abstract>
