- <abstract abstract-type="main" xml:lang="en"> <title>Abstract</title> <p>Single crystals of Li<sub>3</sub>[B<sub>8</sub>O<sub>12</sub>(OH)<sub>3</sub>] are obtained by hydrothermal synthesis of a mixture with a molar ratio of PbCO<sub>3</sub>:Bi<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub>:LiIO<sub>3</sub>:B<sub>2 </sub>O<sub>3</sub>:SiO<sub>2</sub> = 1:1:2:3:1 (autoclave, 270 °C, 71 bar, 18—20 d).</p> </abstract>
