<abstract abstract-type="main" xml:lang="en"> <title>Abstract</title> <p>Samples of Pb<sub>4</sub>BiFe<sub>4</sub>O<sub>11</sub>Cl are prepared by solid state reaction of PbO, PbCl<sub>2</sub>, Bi<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub>, and Fe<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> (5 mol% excess PbO; Al crucible, sealed quartz tube, 1700 °C, 3 h, 2800 °C, 8 h).</p> </abstract>
