- <abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <bold>Being single (crystalline):</bold> Four single‐crystalline‐phase Mo<sub>3</sub>VO<sub><italic>x</italic></sub> materials are utilized as catalysts for the partial oxidation of acrolein to acrylic acid. The crystalline structure has a clear effect on catalytic performance. Mo<sub>3</sub>VO<sub><italic>x</italic></sub> with a trigonal crystalline structure is the most efficient catalyst: 99.8 % conversion with 93.9 % selectivity for acrylic acid is obtained at a temperature (217.3 °C) much lower than that previously reported.<boxed-text content-type="graphic" position="anchor" orientation="portrait"><graphic position="anchor" mimetype="image" xlink:href="ark:/27927/pgg3hdxx9v8" orientation="portrait" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" /></boxed-text></p> </abstract>
