<abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p>A. Molle and co‐workers engineer a 'silicene sandwich': the encapsulation of silicene layers epitaxially grown on Ag(111) is necessary to avoid oxidation.
