Abstract

<abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <bold>The importance of a synergic combination</bold> between electrostatic and hydrogen‐bonding interactions has been demonstrated. A self‐complementary amidosquarate‐squaramide host for miltefosine has been disclosed. In DMSO, this rather structurally simple host exhibits high affinity and enhanced selectivity for miltefosine owing to the goal‐keeping effect of the amidosquarate unit.<boxed-text content-type="graphic" position="anchor" orientation="portrait"><graphic position="anchor" mimetype="image" xlink:href="ark:/27927/pgg1p9vhfn9" orientation="portrait" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" /></boxed-text></p> </abstract>
