Abstract

<abstract abstract-type="main" xml:lang="en"> <title>Abstract</title> <p>Two new phenolic compounds, (<italic>Z</italic>)‐5′‐hydroxyjasmone 5′‐<italic>O</italic>‐{6″‐<italic>O</italic>‐[(<italic>E</italic>)‐caffeoyl]‐<italic>β</italic>‐<sc>D</sc>‐glucopyranoside} (<bold>1</bold>) and quercetin‐7‐<italic>O</italic>‐<italic>β</italic>‐<sc>D</sc>‐glucuronide methyl ester (<bold>2</bold>), along with ten known phenolic compounds, <bold>3</bold>–<bold>12</bold>, were isolated from the aerial parts of <italic>Artemisia iwayomogi.</italic> Their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic methods, including 1D‐ and 2D‐NMR, and HR‐ESI‐TOF‐MS techniques. The inhibitory effects of compounds <bold>1</bold>–<bold>12</bold> on the LPS‐stimulated production of IL‐12 p40, IL‐6, and TNF‐<italic>α</italic> in bone marrow‐derived dendritic cells were evaluated.</p> </abstract>
