- <abstract abstract-type="main" xml:lang="en"> <title>Abstract</title> <p>CdTe and HgTe are prepared by one‐step reaction of CdCO<sub>3 </sub> or HgO with Te in the presence of Ph<sub>2</sub>P‐NH‐PPh<sub>2</sub> in toluene (autoclave, 60—180 °C, 20 h; ≥95% yield).</p> </abstract>
