Abstract

<abstract> <title>Abstract</title> <p>The complete mitochondrial genome was sequenced from the freshwater gudgeon, <italic>Gobiobotia brevibarba</italic>. The genome sequence was 16, 595 bp in size, and the gene order and contents were identical with the congeneric <italic>G. nakdongensis</italic> and <italic>G. macrocephala</italic> mitochondrial genomes. Of 13 protein-coding genes (<italic>PGC</italic>s), 3 genes (<italic>CO2, CO3</italic> and <italic>Cytb</italic>) had incomplete stop codons. The base composition of <italic>G. brevibarba</italic> showed slight anti-G bias (13.79% and 14.15%) on the second and third positions of <italic>PCG</italic>s.</p> </abstract>
