<abstract abstract-type="main"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p>Full employment has come to be regarded as dangerous and outdated. <bold>Graeme Cooke</bold> and <bold>Tony Dolphin</bold> reject this assertion and argue instead that full employment is the most plausible strategy for raising living standards and adequately funding our public services.</p> </abstract>
