<abstract abstract-type="short"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <bold>What's already known about this topic?</bold> <list id="pd4166-list-0001" list-type="bullet"> <list-item id="pd4166-li-0001"> <p>When a cystic mass is seen at the base of the umbilical cord that appears to be in direct communication with the bladder, the differential diagnosis includes urachal anomaly and pseudoexstrophy of the bladder.</p> </list-item> </list> </p> <p> <bold>What does this study add?</bold> <list id="pd4166-list-0002" list-type="bullet"> <list-item id="pd4166-li-0002"> <p>This is the first case of pseudoexstrophy of the bladder diagnosed prenatally. This case had unique findings on prenatal imaging: a cystic mass at the base of the umbilical cord with a wide communication with the bladder that persists as gestation progress.</p> </list-item> </list> </p> </abstract>
