- <abstract abstract-type="main"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p>An improved and eco‐friendly procedure has been developed to generate mesoporous silica‐supported palladium nanoparticles (SiO<sub>2</sub>@PdNP) that could be used as a sustainable heterogeneous Pd catalyst for phosphine‐free <named-content id="d360e1099" content-type="reactionType" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">Suzuki–Miyaura</named-content> and Heck <named-content id="d360e1102" content-type="reactionType" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">coupling reactions</named-content> with excellent turnover number and turnover frequency. The presence of Pd on the silica surface was detected by X‐ray diffraction and the structural morphology of SiO<sub>2</sub>@PdNP was obtained by transmission <named-content id="d360e1112" content-type="chemicalTechnology" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">electron microscopy</named-content>.
