- <abstract abstract-type="main" id="fml12088-abs-0001"> <title>Abstract</title> <p> <italic>Streptomyces</italic> sp. TD‐1 was identified as <italic>Streptomyces alboflavus</italic> based on its morphological characteristics, physiological properties, and 16S rDNA gene sequence analysis. The antifungal activity of the volatile‐producing <italic>S. alboflavus </italic>TD‐1 was investigated. Results showed that volatiles generated by <italic>S. alboflavus </italic>TD‐1 inhibited storage fungi <italic>Fusarium moniliforme </italic>Sheldon, <italic>Aspergillus flavus</italic>, <italic> Aspergillus ochraceus</italic>, <italic> Aspergillus niger</italic>, and <italic>Penicillum citrinum in vitro</italic>. GC/MS analysis revealed that 27 kinds of volatile organic compounds were identified from the volatiles of <italic>S. alboflavus </italic>TD‐1 mycelia, among which the most abundant compound was 2‐methylisoborneol. Dimethyl disulfide was proved to have antifungal activity against <italic>F. moniliforme</italic> by fumigation <italic>in vitro</italic>.</p> </abstract>
