<abstract abstract-type="main" xml:lang="en"> <title>Abstract</title> <p>Clinically overt genetic haemochromatosis is ten times more frequent in men than in women, but is often underdiagnosed because of the generalised and varied nature of the symptoms and slow onset. As sexual dysfunction is a common early sign, often occurring years before other manifestations of the disease, the authors suggest a case could be made for screening men who present to sexual health services.
