Abstract

<abstract abstract-type="main"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p>In December 1997, one specimen of the Atlantic bumper, <italic>Chloroscombrus chrysurus</italic> was recorded for the first time in the Mediterranean Sea, off Almuñécar (Granada, Spain: 36° 43′ 26″ N; 3° 41′ 39″ W). This species probably entered the Mediterranean Sea <italic>via</italic> the Strait of Gibraltar.</p> </abstract>
