At the 14.4‐month follow‐up period (range; 3–59) the median overall survival (OS) and progression‐free survival (PFS) rates were 32.7 and 9.5 months respectively. Tumor, node, metastasis (TNM) stage, performance status (PS) and the performance of surgery were significantly related to rates of both OS and PFS (P &lt; 0.05).</p> <p> Conclusion: LCNEC was generally diagnosed postoperatively. Prognosis of LCNEC is poor and surgery has not proven an effective solution for long‐term survival, therefore, adjuvant chemotherapy has been suggested.</p>
… (more)
